Our Board of Directors handles the thrilling world of bylaws, budgets, and strategic plans so the rest of us can focus on the heart work. They’re the unsung heroes of governance — and yes, they prefer spreadsheets over spotlights.
Kyle Fitzgerald – Chairman
Kyle is our emergency backup for everything—yes, even board drama. Now that he’s the Board Chair, he’s basically the captain of this ship (and occasionally the lifeboat). He’s married to our Executive Director, which makes him the unofficial co-leader of everything—whether he signed up for it or not.
John Lee – Vice Chair By day, he’s mild-mannered John Lee. By board meeting? He’s The Vice Chair, second-in-command and first in readiness. Armed with the power of calm under pressure and a sixth sense for agenda changes, he swoops in when leadership needs backup. His superpowers include strategic thinking, diplomatic saves, and the uncanny ability to make meetings feel shorter than they are.
Jeanne Blackwell – Board Treasurer
Jeanne now makes cents of everything—literally. As Treasurer, she balances the books like a pro and keeps our budget in check without losing her interest. She’s got a wealth of experience and isn’t afraid to cash in on her skills. And while she’s counting dollars, rumor has it she’s still counting bylaws in her head—because old habits don’t depreciate easily.
Cole Sinette – Board Secretary
Cole’s got energy, ideas, and now… the ultimate power tool: a pen. As Secretary, he’s the official note ninja—turning chaos into bullet points and secrets into “action items.” He’s writing his own legacy one meeting at a time, hoping his minutes don’t accidentally become life sentences.
John Prushinski – Director
John is a Lighthouse Shelter success story turned board member. He brings lived experience, a big heart, and a suspicious willingness to help. Co-chair material? We think yes.
